The Oldest Story in North America

Morton Area Chamber of Commerce

Morton MN is located along the winding Minnesota River and nestled in the beautiful river valley, within walking distance of many historic sites on which were enacted some of the most stirring scenes in the history of the Northwest.

Morton offers area residents and visitors limitless opportunities for recreation, education and entertainment.

Morton is rich with cultures of native peoples, and immigrant settlers. Whether you enjoy camping, fishing, golfing, or horseback riding, Morton has it all. Perhaps you’d rather spend a quiet day enjoying a picnic at the Monuments where you can gaze upon the area that was once the Ancient River Warren, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the magnificent bald eagles that grace our skies. You could then visit the Renville County Museum and capture the vivid stories of prairie life of the Native Americans and settlers.

The diversity of our area includes the oldest rock in North America, 3.8 billion year old granite, from which the two fountains on the south lawn of the White House were created.

Morton is proud to host numerous festivals to the delight of thousands of people, who enjoy these events year round.

We have several quaint shops which offer unique finds from antiques to Amish furniture. Morton offers affordable housing, and welcomes new businesses. We invite you to visit us soon.
